THE 2025 BURY SUMMERTIME SIZZLER CHAMPIONSHIPS
BURY GYMNASTICS CLUB
JULY 2025
|
Over 70 members of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled a short distance to Bury Gymnastics Club to participate
in the 2025 Bury Summertime Sizzler Floor and Vault Championships.
At the end of a long weekend of competitive action, the girls returned home with an impressive haul of 81 medals, 10 trophies
and 7 awards following some absolutely outstanding performances across many levels of competition. Rochdale OGC boasted a
superb count of 10 Overall Champions with Amy Maclure, Annabella-Rose Neal, Esme Pearson, Isabella Heaps, Connie Tetley, Lillie-Mae
Holt, Adele Vaitkute, Isla-Rae Whitehead, Klara Nicklin and Eiliyah Sheikh all taking victory in their respective categories.

Monica McTigue earned an Artistry Award for her Floor routine. Luisa OGorman earned a Special Judges Award. Isla-Rae Whitehead
earned an award for a very powerful vault.
The gymnasts designed and created their own competition numbers with Scarlette Sloan, Maysi Tetley, Isabella Green, and
Isobel Wood all winning awards for their efforts.
Some amazing results from all the gymnasts and we now look forward to seeing them compete again later in the year.

THE 2025 DIAMONDS
INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
DIAMONDS GYMNASTICS CLUB, HALIFAX
JUNE 2025
|
Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club entered the 2025 Diamonds Invitational British Classic Challenge Championships for the
third year running with 15 of the Clubs gymnasts.
Hosted by Diamonds Gymnastics Club in Halifax, a thoroughly enjoyable event where all the gymnasts were encouraged along
the way by all participating club members.
The 15 Rochdale OGC gymnasts returned home with some outstanding achievements for their efforts, returning home with 32
podium positions between them, and 2 Overall Champions with Lois Eddy and Eiliyah Sheikh storming to victory in their respective
categories.
The weekend got off to a steady start with Daisy Whittaker and Millie Nuttall contesting the Copper section of the competition.
Millie took 2nd place on Vault, 6th on Bars, and 3rd on Floor earning herself a 5th Overall position, with Daisy taking 6th
place on Vault and 9th Overall.

The next round of competition saw the Zinc level gymnasts in action. At the end of a very lucrative round the three Rochdale
OGC Team Members took a clean sweep of the Overall positions with Lois Eddy being crowned the Overall Individual Champion
in 1st place on the podium, very closely followed by Lola Whittaker in 2nd place and Edie Ogden in 3rd place. Lois also
earned 2nd on Vault, 1st on Bars, 2nd on Beam, 1st on Floor and a Special Judges Award for a beautiful Split Jump on Beam.
Lola was well deserved of 3rd on Bars, 1st on Beam, and 2nd on Floor with Edie rounding off a cracking competition with 2nd
on Bars and 3rd on Floor. The Tin aged Over 12 gymnasts were also in action with Ava Dixon taking 2nd place on Floor, finishing
in 7th Overall followed by Mahira Arien in 11th place.

Day two of the proceedings saw Esme Pearson, Falon Mack, Khaleesi Wood and Klara Nicklin contest the Pewter section of the
event. Falon was credited with a 3rd place on Beam and a 3rd place Overall. Klara took 2nd place on Vault, 1st on Bars and
Beam, finishing in 8th place Overall, with Khaleesi in 10th and Esme in 12th place.

The Tin Aged 8 and 9 gymnasts rounded off a successful weekend which saw Eiliyah Sheikh take top spot on the podium in 1st
place Overall, along with 3rd place on Vault, 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Floor. Layla Bennett took 3rd place on Bars and 4th
place Overall, with Holly Johnson taking 4th on Vault, 3rd on Bars and 10th Overall, and Jorgie Reid earning 6th place on
Vault and 11th place Overall.
Wonderful results from just 18 gymnasts who did themselves and Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club proud.

THE 2025 STOCKPORT EASTER
INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
STOCKPORT SCHOOL OF GYMNASTICS
APRIL 2025

A small contingent of just 4 members of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to Stockport School of Gymnastics to
contest the 2025 Stockport Easter 4 Piece Apparatus Championships based on the British Classic Challenge rules.
As a Club we could not have asked any more of the gymnasts. They all worked extremely hard and performed with pride.


Lois Eddy contested the Zinc Category for the first time with resounding success for her first outing, collecting 2nd place
on Vault, 1st on Bars, 1st on Beam and lifting the trophy in the Overall standings in 1st place on the podium in the Aged
11/12 group. Lois was also credited with a Beam Queen Award from the judges for a super confident Beam routine throughout.
Lola Whittaker moved into the older category of the Zinc section participating in the Over 13 age group for the first
time. A super clean competition with a new floor routine saw Lola take 1st on Vault, 1st on Beam and earning a well deserved
2nd place Overall on the podium. Lola also earned a Beam Queen Award from the judges for exemplary execution of her jumps
within her Beam routine.


Millie Nuttall rounded off an outstanding weekend for herself. The previous day Millie became Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics
Clubs newest qualified Womens Artistic Level 1 Coach. Millie topped this off on the day of the competition in the Copper
Aged Over 15 section, with 5 Gold medals and a well deserved 1st place on Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor also raising the trophy
in 1st place on the podium in the Overall standings.
Daisy Whittaker accompanied Millie in the Over 15 category. Following a super Bar routine, Daisy battled tremendously
through the remainder of the competition to be rewarded with a 3rd place on Beam, and joining Millie on the podium in the
Overall standing taking 3rd place.
The girls will now continue their training towards their next venture which will see them travel to Halifax to participate
in the 2025 Diamonds Invitational Championships.

Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics club travelled to Chorley this week to participate in the 2025 Camelot Invitational Championships
hosted by Flic Flac Gymnastics Club. A first time visit to this event, 57 members of the Club produced some outstanding results
following some amazing performances by the whole team. Some of the gymnasts competed in their first time 4 Piece Apparatus
event, whilst the remainder of the group contested various levels of the Floor & Vault competition. The 4 Piece gymnasts
got the days proceedings off to a fantastic start with these results.

A first time visit to Ormskirk for 31 members of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club, as they travelled to participate in
the 2025 Edge Hill Springtime Invitational Championships held at Edge Hill University.
Annabella-Rose Neal, Elsie ONeill, Luisa OGorman and Myla Peak took part in their first ever competitive event, alongside
27 of their team mates. The Team contested various levels of Competition across numerous age groups with some very deserved
medal positions and awards received.
