THE 2024 WIRE WINTER WONDERLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Over 70 gymnasts representing Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to The Wire Gymnastics Club in Warrington to
participate in the 2024 Wire Winter Wonderland Floor and Vault Championships. A huge event with over 900 competitors from
around the Country, the Rochdale OGC gymnasts returned home with an immense amount of rewards for their efforts, including
14 gymnasts that made their debut appearance in competition for the Club.
A Winter Wonderland themed event aimed at all levels of gymnasts, the girls from Rochdale OGC thoroughly enjoyed the whole
weekend and we as a Club could not have asked any more of them.
First time competitors for Rochdale OGC were Adele Vaitkute, Amy Maclure, Bonnie McNeill, Faye Snape, Grace Booth, Isabelle
Reed, Isobel Wood, Kasey Maitland, Lillie-Mae Holt, Lily Scowcroft, Olivia Jones, Orlaith North, Scarlett Maitland and Sofia
Romero.


As a team, the gymnasts from Rochdale OGC accumulated a very impressive amount of medal positions on the podium across varying
levels and age groups. Special mention to the 5 gymnasts who were crowned Overall Individual Champions with Holly Johnson,
Connie Tetley, Kasey Maitland, Falon Mack and Layla Bennett all winning their respective categories finishing in 1st place
Overall and lifting the trophies on the podium.
ROGCs Vault medallists were Holly Johnson, Grace Booth, Tahlia Edmondson, Lily Scowcroft, Ivy Dixon, Romi Moseley, Maysi Tetley,
Isabelle Reed, Isla-Rae Whitehead, Layla Brooks, Connie Tetley, Kasey Maitland, Layla Bennett, Klara Nicklin, Selena Paul,
Falon Mack.

Whilst Holly Johnson, Aria Cain, Faye Snape, Eiliyah Sheikh, Maysi Tetley, Isabelle Reed, Isobel Wood, Lillie-Mae Holt, Isla-Rae
Whitehead, Connie Tetley, Hattie Smith, Halle Brooks, Kasey Maitland, Clarissa Torba, Layla Bennett, Jorgie Reid, Megan Rands
and Khaleesi Wood all picked medals for the efforts with their floor routines.



Overall 2nd place positions were taken by Eiliyah Sheikh, Maysi Tetley, Isabelle Reed, Lillie-Mae Holt, Isla-Rae Whitehead,
Halle Brooks and Jorgie Reid with Aria Cain, Ivy Dixon, Layla Brooks, Hattie Smith, Isabella Heaps and Khaleesi Wood all taking
3rd place Overall in the respective groups.
All 71 gymnasts, along with the Clubs Coaches and Judges, pulled together as a Team and competed with pride. An incredible
event run by The Wire Gymnastics Club and a fantastic experience to build on leading into next year’s events.

THE 2024 MILANO INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to the City of Preston Gymnastics Club to contest the 2024 Milano Invitational
Championships. The 11 strong Team could not have had a better weekend. They competed with absolute pride, producing some
incredible routines and achieving an immense haul of rewards for their efforts. Following some tough rounds of competition
the girls came home with 19 Gold Medals, 12 Silver, 6 Bronze, 10 Apparatus Certificates of Distinction, 4 Judges Choice Awards
and 6 Overall Champions as Lois Eddy, Ava Dixon, Mahira Arien, Scarlett Hanley, Lola Whittaker and Daisy Whittaker all lifted
the Trophy in their respective categories of competition taking top spot on the podium.

THE 2024 LIVERPOOL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to the City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club with 10 of its members to contest
the 2024 Liverpool Open Championships. In a very massive field of 800 competitors the 10 young gymnasts, following some
very tough competition returned home with some magnificent results. The Team ROGC gymnasts showcased some great gymnastics
as well as each receiving lots of Judges Awards for their efforts.

The Club had all 10 gymnasts earn Beam Queen Awards as Millie, Daisy, Olivia, Tais, Lola, Edie, Lottis, Lois, Mahira and Ava
all executed their beam routines without a single fall.
The girls will now move onto their next event in just a weeks time which will see them travel to the City of Preston Gymnastics
Club to participate in the 2024 Milano Invitational Championships.

THE 2024 REDCAR ROCKS CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to Redcar Gymnastics Club for the first time to contest the 2024 Redcar Rocks
British Classic Challenge Championships. Just 7 of the Clubs members made the journey and returned home with some incredible
results.
The girls were entered into 3 different levels of competition, attaining the Overall Champion in all 3 categories with Lola
Whittaker, Lois Eddy and Millie Nuttall all taking victory in 1st place Overall.
The days proceedings got off to a cracking start with the gymnasts competing in the Zinc Senior event.
Lola Whittaker - 3rd Vault, 1st Bars, 2nd Beam, 1st Overall
Tais Amorim - 5th Vault, 2nd Bars, 1st Floor, 2nd Overall
Ellie-Mae Hill - 14th Overall
Lola also earned Judges Awards for Bars and Beam, with Tais taking awards for Vault, Bars, Beam and a Number Award, whilst
Ellie also took a Beam Award.

Next saw the Tin Under 11 gymnasts in action where Lois Eddy deservedly took 5th on Vault, 1st Bars, 2nd Beam, 6th Floor,
finishing 1st Overall and also collecting Judges Awards for Bars and Beam.
The day was topped with the gymnasts contesting the Copper Senior event.

THE 2024 BURY SUMMERTIME SIZZLER CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
70 members of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled a short distance to Bury Gymnastics Club for the first time to
participate in the 2024 Bury Summertime Sizzler Floor & Vault Championships.


At the end of a long day of competitive action, the girls returned home with an impressive haul of 73 medals, 12 trophies
and 19 awards following some absolutely outstanding performances across many levels of competition.
Rochdale OGC boasted a superb count of 12 Overall Champions with Layla Brooks, Evelyn Wilkinson, Jessica Gledhill, Eiliyah
Sheikh, Maysi Tetley, Isla-Rae Whitehead, Maria-Clarissa Torba, Eva Lowe, Selena Paul, Layla Bennett, Monica McTigue and Holly
Johnson all taking victory in their respective categories.

The gymnasts designed and created their own competition numbers with Selma Umaru, Evelyn Wilkinson, Lyra Johnston, Reema
Abbas, Nell Karran, Jessica Gledhill, Maysi Tetley, Eva Lowe, Jorgie Reid, Selena Paul, Klara Nicklin, Holly Johnson and Georgia
Mills all winning awards for their efforts.
Some amazing results from all the gymnasts and we now look forward to seeing them compete again later in the year.

THE 2024 DIAMONDS INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club entered the 2024 Diamonds Invitational British Classic Challenge Championships for the
second time with 11 of the Clubs gymnasts. Hosted by Diamonds Gymnastics Club in Halifax, a thoroughly enjoyable event where
all the gymnasts were encouraged along the way by all participating club members.

The 11 Rochdale OGC gymnasts returned home with some outstanding achievements for their efforts, returning home with 30 medal
positions between them, 3 Overall Champions and the Zinc Team Champions.
The weekend got off to a start with Daisy Whittaker and Millie Nuttall contesting the Copper section of the competition.
A tough event eventually earned Millie a 4th place Overall with Daisy finishing in 7th.
The next round of competition saw the Zinc level gymnasts in action. At the end of a very lucrative round the ROGC gymnasts
attained the Overall Champion in this category along with the Team Title. The Zinc Over 12 group saw the girls take the top
5 positions in the overall standings with Lola Whittaker crowned the Overall Champion lifting the trophy in 1st place on the
podium closely followed by Scarlett Hanley in 2nd, Edie Ogden in 3rd, Tais Amorim in 4th and Lottie Peacocke in 5th. Lola
was also credited with 2nd on Vault, 2nd Bars, 1st Beam and 1st Floor. Scarlett took 1st on Bars and 2nd on Beam, whilst
Tais earned 2nd on Bars with Edie being rewarded with 3rd places on Vault, Beam and Floor.

The Team consisted of 4 members with their scores from one apparatus each counting towards the total team score. Scarlett
(Vault), Lola (Bars), Tais (Beam) and Lottie (Floor) reached a score that put them in 1st place on the podium lifting the
Team Title.


To finish the weekend the Tin gymnasts were in action in two age groups with the Rochdale OGC girls taking the Overall title
in both Age groups. The aged 10/11 section saw Lois Eddy take the top spot on the podium in 1st place with Tatiana Truncaite
in 3rd place. Lois also earned 2nd on Vault and Bars and 1st on Beam, whilst Tatiana earned 1st on Bars and 3rd on Beam.
The Over 12 category saw Ava Dixon take 5 gold medals and the Overall trophy finishing in 1st place Overall along with 1st
place on all 4 pieces of apparatus. Mahira Arien came in at 2nd place Overall taking 2nd places on Vault, Bars, Beam and
Floor.
Wonderful results from just 11 gymnasts who did themselves and Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club proud.

THE 2024 GYMFINITY CARNIVAL INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

It has been a busy few weeks for the Team at Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club with three Competitions in the space of
four weeks completed. Last weekend saw 40 of the Clubs Gymnasts travel to Robyn Park Arena in Wigan to contest the 2024 Gymfinity
Carnival Invitational Championships, 20 of whom competed for the very first time.

A Carnival themed event, the Club had lots of fun, giggles and laughter, happy gymnasts, happy coaches and immense support
from Team ROGC parents .
It was a weekend of the younger gymnasts leading the way with Connie Tetley aged 4, Hattie Smith aged 5, and Robyn Leach
aged 6 all taking victory in their respective categories and lifting the trophies as Overall Champions in 1st place on the
podium.
Podium positions were awarded to top 5 and the gymnasts achieved some huge rewards for their efforts.
Number Awards were presented to Isabella Green, Olivia Oldham, and Jessica Gledhill.

THE 2024 URBAN EASTER INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Huge Congratulations to Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Clubs 29 Gymnasts who travelled to Warrington to participate in the
2024 Urban Easter Invitational 4 Piece Championships held at Urban School of Gymnastics.
A very nervous event for all 29 youngsters as all of them embarked on their 1st ever 4 Piece Competition. They all went out
there and gave it their all. Not everything went to plan but they did not give up once. They all battled through, they did
not give up and they fought through to the end. They had lots of fun, giggles and laughter, happy gymnasts, happy coaches
and one proud Club yet again.

THE 2024 PARIS COMES TO PENKETH CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Members of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club travelled to Penketh Gymnastics Club for the first time to participate in
the 2024 Paris Comes to Penketh Invitational Championships.
13 young gymnasts contested different levels of competition and came home with a huge haul of well deserved rewards.
At the end of the days proceedings the girls earned themselves 15 Awards and 48 Medal Positions with 5 gymnasts lifting
the Trophies in their respective categories as Maisie Pringle, Lois Eddy, Lola Whittaker, Scarlett Hanley and Millie Nuttall
were all crowned Overall Champions.

The girls are now back in the gym working hard towards their next event which will see them travel to Diamonds Gymnastics
Club in Halifax in June.

THE 2024 STOCKPORT EASTER 4 PIECE CHAMPIONSHIPS
|
Just 10 of Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Clubs members travelled to Stockport School of Gymnastics to participate in the
2024 Stockport Easter British Classic Challenge Championships. Between them the gymnasts amassed a huge medal haul of 34 placings
on the podium, with 3 Overall Individual Champions, two Team positions in the top 3, and 6 awards from the Beam Judges.


The days proceedings got off to a fantastic start where 3 gymnasts competed in the Copper category with Charlotte Barrett
competing in the aged 12 category, Daisy Whittaker in the aged 14, and Millie Nuttall in the 15+ section. Charlotte competed
this level for the very first time with new skills across all 4 pieces of apparatus competed confidently, earning a 2nd position
on Vault. Millie had a clean competition earning 2nd place Overall and also being rewarded with 2nd on Bars, 1st on Beam
and 2nd on Vault. Daisy had a super event earning her the Overall Title finishing in 1st place Overall aided by 2nd place
on Vault, Bars and Beam. All 3 gymnasts were credited with Awards from the Beam Judges. Millie and Daisy for sticking their
routines and Charlotte for beautifully connected flicks. The girls scores combined together earned them a 3rd place on the
podium in the Copper Team Competition.



The proceedings next saw the gymnasts in action in the Zinc Competition. The aged 12/13 category saw Lola Whittaker, Tais
Amorim, Ellie-Mae Hill and Edie Ogden compete, with Scarlett Hanley, Lottie Peacocke and Maisie Whitlow contesting the Aged
14+ section.
In the younger age group the girls took the top 3 positions on the podium in the Overall standings, with Lola Whittaker
being crowned the Overall Champion, closely followed by Edie Ogden in 2nd and Tais Amorim in 3rd place. Lolas Victory was
backed up with 1st placings on Bars and Beam, with Edie taking 3rd on Vault, 3rd on Bars, 2nd Beam, and 2nd on Floor. Tais
was rewarded with 2nd on Bars and 3rd on Floor. Lola earned a Beam award for an amazing Flick, with Edie collecting one for
a beautiful Wolf Spin.


The older age group saw Maisie lift the trophy as she took top spot in the overall standing being crowned the Champion
with Scarlett finishing in 3rd place Overall. Maisie was also credited with 2nd on Vault, 1st on Bars and 1st on Beam with
Scarlett taking 1st on Vault and 3rd on Bars and Lottie taking 2nd place on Bars. Maisie also warranted a Beam award for
a super clean routine.
The combined scores from Maisie, Scarlett, Lottie and Edie saw the Team finish in 2nd place in the Team Competition.
The girls are now back in the gym working hard for their forthcoming events in the next few months where we will see them
travel to Warrington, Halifax and Redcar.
